Sex trafficking in the cities
By JACOB VON ARX
Being a numbers man, having kept stats for both high school and college
baseball teams, I know how stats can either tell too much information
or cover up a blemish. I can create a statistic that can make a player look
good, bad, in a slump, or that they should be cut from the team.

KSTP reported that Minnesota is one of the top ten states for sex
trafficking. This small stat tells a big story. America has grown more
aware of the lurking monster of sex slavery, but it has also grown more
prevalent. Junior Youth Ministries major Josh Rouser said, “It’s a huge
problem. Minneapolis and Chicago are two of the biggest hubs for sex
trafficking in the country, and the Mall of America is the largest spot for
‘recruiting’ new girls.”

every organization is to the student body, some tend to fly under the
radar. Here are some organizations that you may want to be involved
with in the coming semester if you haven’t already chimed in.
