The bright lights flashing, the sound of giggles coming from the young women being courted, the

smell
of cigarette smoke filling the air. I sit here in a lonely bench eagerly waiting for something. Anxiety
rushing down my spine, feeling various eyes watching me. Then I see him his smile giving me hope again
as we ride the Ferris wheel.

After all of the time we spent together, the fond memories of us ruining barefoot in the woods, having
picnics under the blossom tree. I slowly return to reality after dreaming about what life had been,
wiping tears off my face. I pick myself back up and walk home from the cemetery softly crying to the
memories we shared, and his fading in the back of my head.
