This course is imperative for any aspiring or current public administrators because it is where all ethics
and accountability be learned and why these two are important to be learned. As aspiring public
administrators, ethics and accountability are very important because these are our foundations in the
public service. Imperative learning on these two values is very important to us, so that in time that we
are now so called administrators we will carry these as we walk through. Educated and learned not
educated but not learned will be our trade mark. Values in the public service are needed, in dealing with
co-workers, boss and especially the public. Learning ethics is very important because what’s the sense of
being an administrator if we cannot lead our own self on serving the public properly. Showing no ethics
and accountability in public service makes you worthless, because first, the public will see you as
educated but not learned. Second, you’re dragging the people away from you because of having no
values/ethics like respect, humbleness and so on. Third, the people will get away from you in which
being a public servant is becoming worthless because you have no one to serve for, that’s why it is very
imperative nowadays to learn these things. For me as a student, I’m being thankful that these subject is
thought imperatively because I know that it develops my inner self and it teaches me a lot on how to be
a real public servant with morals, values and ethics. This subject or course is imperative for aspiring
public servants or public administrators in order for them to capture the best values that they can apply
soon or now as they are in the name of public service.
