Abstract

Research shows that a career in computer programming is favorable. The median annual wage

for computer programmers was $86,550 in May 2019. The employment rate for them is likely to

decline by 9 percent from 2019 to 2029. Since computer programming is possible to do from

anywhere in the world, companies sometimes hire programmers in countries where wages are

lower. Some of the top jobs for computer programmers include web developers, computer

systems engineers, database administrators, and computer systems analysts. Some of the

potential employers are the government, Amazon, and IBM. Some of the certificates available

for programmers are the Microsoft Technology Associate Developer certificate, the Microsoft

Solutions Developer certificate, and the Citrix Associate-Virtualization certificate.

As more jobs have moved online, programming job interest has gone up. Due to this ongoing

increase, technology will likely be advancing at a faster rate.
