Playing Guitar 1

Abstract

For my senior project, I’m learning the basics about the guitar and how to play chords to play a

song. I chose this project because I have always been interested in expressing myself through

music and actually making music. I have always wanted to learn to play, but I never had the time

to practice. This project would be challenging for me because I would need to learn to perfect

chords, play songs, and learn new rhythms in order to play the music correctly.

Some of the most relevant music careers for guitar players are incorporated into our everyday

lives without much notice. There are 5 types of guitarists. First is cover band guitarists, which

consists of musicians playing music by famous bands at events. Second would include

songwriters that make music for media such as TV or movie soundtracks, and third is a

studio/session guitarist. This is when professionals use recording tracks for artists who can’t do it

by themselves. Backing guitarists are simply backing musicians for famous stars, and finally

guitar instructors, who teach people how to play chords and songs.

This builds the information and capacity to play different songs over the perfect harmonies at the

perfect time. Learning and rehearsing scales is significant and will lead you to finish dominance

of the guitar quicker.
