This report was derived from the “2013 AHA/ACC/TOS Guideline for the Management of Overweight and Obesity in
Adults: A Report of the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association Task Force on Practice Guideline
and The Obesity Society” and “Managing Overweight and Obesity in Adults: Systematic Evidence Review from the
Obesity Expert Panel, 2013” which were both developed jointly by the AHA, ACC, TOS and the NHLBI.
