SECTION 10160 TOILET COMPARTMENTS PART1 GENERAL 4.01 SUMMARY OF WORK A. Work of this section shall be governed by the Contract Documents. Provide design, materals, labour, equipment and services necessary to furnish, deliver ‘and install all work ofthis saction as shown on the crawings, as specified herein, andlor as required by site conditions andior related works B. Section Includes: The Work of this Section includes, but is not limited to, the furnishing and instaling of the folowing to the tolls Toilet compartments and required fixings including doors. Metal urinal screens, Ironmongery and accessory hardware Any other Tollet Compartment Wark described in the Contract Drawings and Documents, . Related Sections ‘Section 05500: Metal Fabrications. Any other American, JIS or DIN Standard as may be required by the Architect 4.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE A. Pre-installaion Conference: 1. The Main Contractor shall convene a Pre-Instllation Conference at the Project Site, one week minimum prior to commencing Work ofthis Section and shall ensure attendance of parties directly affected by Work ofthis Section including, but not to limited to, the Architect, Project Consuitants, toilet compartment installer, gypsum plasterboard celing installer, job foreman, and all other affected subcontractors, suppliers and manufacturers B. Review preparation and installation procedures, and coordinating and scheduling required with related work . Record discussions of conference and dacisions and agreements reached and furnish copy of record to each party attending and to the Architect. Review foreseeable methods and procedures related to the work of this section, including the folowing 1. Tour, inspect and discuss condition of substrate, materials and final location, penetrations and other preparatory work performed by other trades. 2. Review structural loading limitations of substrate, positions of reinforcement to substrate and for required mechanical fixing 3. Review the requirements for work of this section (Drawings and Contract Documents) Reviow required submittals, both completed and yet to be completed, Review and finalize construction schedule related to work ofthis section and verify availabilty of material, installe’s personnel, equipment and faciities ‘needed to make progress and avoid delays 6. Review required inspections, testing, certifying and material usage ‘accounting procedures. 7. Reviow weather and forecasted weather conditions, and procedures for coping with unfavorable conditions, including possibility of temporary protection, CLIMATIC & PSYCHOMETRIC CONDITIONS |A. The Main Contractor and his Toilet Compartment Manufacturer is deemed to be familiar with climatic conditions prevailing in Mumbai, and the design psychometric requirements, and to be aware of 1a. The high temperature (up to 40°C) and the high relative humidity (up to 95 % RH) Psychometric perimeters used in determining vapour barrier, insulation, indoor temperature and relative humidity requirements, heating and cooling loads B. The Main Contractor jointly and severally with his Toilet Compartment Subeontractor and Manufacturer shall warrant that all products, materials and items are suitable, and can be maintained in the various climatic and psychometric conditions encountered without any degradation, material and support failures for a period of ten (10) years. C. ‘The Main Contractor shall co-ordinate and ensure that nothing shall be done by all his Specialist SubContractor or other SubContractors, suppliers and ‘manufacturers which will void any manufacturer's warranty, oF invalidate the specified Insurance andlor any other insurances arranged by the Contractor. SUBMITTALS. ‘A. Submit the folowing under provisions of Section 01300, B._ Shop Drawings: 1. Shop Drawing plans and elevations shall be shown at 1:20 scala. Detail
