La feria de abril de Sevilla- April fair in seville

Good evening classmates and teacher, I will talk about the April fair in Seville

Origenes e historia

The Fair was born at the initiative of two councilors who asked the Plenary to recover the Seville fairs, one in
April and the other in September. Since the permission to celebrate both was granted by Alfonso X the Wise in
1254, six years after his father conquered Seville.

Finally, April 18, 19 and 20 were approved as fair days so as not to disturb the Mairena del Alcor fair, which
coincided in time with the initial proposal. It was approved by the City Council on September 18, 1846 and was
inaugurated on April 18, 1847 in the Prado de San Sebastián.

The event lasts for 6 days, beginning throughout the years, being considered one of the most unique
expressions for Sevillians due to its color and joy throughout the years.

The Fairground

The fair takes place through the real de la Feria, the stand, the sevillanas, the flamenco dresses, its lighting, the
horse ride and the street of hell.

They could go to the fair accompanied with family and friends since it is celebrated the third week after Easter
at the Real de la Feria.

You can go to the Real de la Feria since that is how it is known as the Real (the 25-cent peseta coin) and
therefore the area of the fair where you can see the parade of the horses and be the stalls.

Likewise, in seeing the dances of the Sevillanas and their flamenco costumes and going to the booths to enjoy
the food and see the lights of the fair event. Here is still showing an example of an invitation to the
celebration:
