ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I would like to express my special thanks of gratitude and appreciation, to those people

who helped me with this On-The-Job Training possible. As you know this OJT was part of my

educational curriculum and therefore I have to thank you for providing me this opportunity.

To my beloved parents, who work hard to give me the best education I can have. I know

that my education is just a preparation for me to the real world. Also I wanted to thank them for

their unending love and support, for providing all my needs financially and morally, for their

patience and understanding during my tiring days that I can’t help them in the chores, for their

unfading advices and for being there for me no matter what.

To the Holy Redeemer School (HRS) employees, for their warm welcome to me. To my

Training Supervisor, Teacher Rachelle and Teacher Kat and to the rest of the Holy Redeemer

School staff and employees, I am very grateful for having them as part of my On-The-Job Training.

For all their advices and for everything that they taught me during my stay with them and most of

all, for the memories we’ve shared and the happy moments, the sorrowful ones, the rush hours, the
brainstorming and for everything that they did that contributed to my growth as a student or as a

practicum.

To God, thank you for being the one that is always being there for me to overcome the

trials and finish training.

SUMMARY

. On-the-job training is one of the best training methods because it is planned, organized,

conducted at the employee’s worksite. OJT will generally help me as a student to increase my

productivity and skills. It also helps me to become a young professional. This is one method by

which students is given a chance to apply what they have learned in school. It also helps us to

acquire relevant knowledge and skills by performing in actual work setting. Our College require

undergoing such training within a specific number of hours as part of the curriculum I spend 150

hours inside the On-The-Job Training in the Holy Redeemer School of Cabuyao (HRS) at Banlic

Cabuyao Laguna specifically in the Educational Settings. I always came to office at around 8:00

am. Yes, I go there at exact time as the usual office time. the trainees. I really enjoyed my On-The-

Job training. I learned the basic office works, the operation of common office equipment and

facilities, the standard office rules and procedures and most of all the pleasant officers-employees

relationships. Even if it’s not a real job that has a monthly salary, I really appreciated the effort that

they accepted me and considered me as their co-employee. I also learned to handle my

responsibilities and I also observed proper time management and act with speed and urgency.

Yes, it was the day I end my OJT at the Holy Redeemer School (HRS), but I wanted to inform you

all that I am glad that once in my life I’ll became part of the working force of HRS and I am thankful

for the success of my OJT and it couldn’t turn into reality without the help of these following person;

my superiors, co-trainees, to my loving parents for their moral and financial supports and despite of

many efforts, trials and hardships exerted during my training, I would like to dedicate all my

accomplishments and success to our Almighty God for his unending blessings showered upon me.

This example of my success is a great chance that I will step the victory of my life.

INTRODUCTION

On-the-Job Training (OJT) is training that is delivered while an individual is performing

tasks or processes related to their particular occupation. The employee typically performs tasks that are

essential to their job function with the supervision of a manager, coach or mentor. This type of training is

typically used to broaden an employee’s skill set and to increase productivity.

Improved employee performance the employee who receives the necessary training is

more able to perform in their job. A training program allows you to strengthen those skills that each

employee needs to improve. A development program brings all employees to a higher level so they

all have similar skills and knowledge.

The On-the-Job Training Program (OJT) is a "hire-first" program that reimburses a

company for the cost of training a new employee. Companies can use OJTs to hire and train

promising job candidates who have some but not all of the skills necessary for the job. A rigorous

training plan is put in place to ensure that the employee has the skills needed to be successful,
contributing to long term retention. The OJT program is an efficient way to move unemployed

workers more quickly into jobs and provide them with transportable skills and a cost-effective way

to help local businesses develop and retain the workers that they need.

OBJECTIVES

On-The-Job Training demonstrates the broad role and importance of the technician in

industry and also to provide a foundation for prepare the students for working efficiently and

productively in industrial commercial establishment. OJT also acquaint the students formally to a

real life work place environment. This will help me to explore the relationship between the

knowledge and skills acquired in college with those required in the working situations. It will provide

me a general work experience, so that the student can apply skills previously acquired at the

college and acquire new relevant skills.

I have a goal trying to achieve during their training days. These are; to become

familiar about my chosen career to become confident when they enter to real work, To grasp more

knowledge about one of the field of my chosen career and also to enhance the skills I already have

as well as to provide the opportunity for personal and professional growth and advancement

opportunities. To have an increase opportunities within a company for faster advancement and
growth, to become cultivate adaptability and creativity in a dynamic world and also to gain an

exposure to real world problems and issues. To increase my self confidence in the workplace while

developing an expanded network of associates and professionals, and also have a resume-

building experiences while applying academic concepts and principles.

Brief History of Company/Company Profile

Mrs. Francisca G. Ignacio or Ms. Nancy, a licensed chemist and a board passer of BSE

Redeemer School of Cabuyao, with the support and guidance of her husband, the school

president, Engr. Benhur B. Ignacio.

The ground breaking of HRS was on Jan. 25, 199. It started with its humble beginnings

with two classrooms and 17 pupils from nursery to preparatory levels. There were 4 nursery, 9

The expansion of the school continued in 2008 until 2010 as the second and third floors were built

principal, Ms. Evangeline D. Manacsa and the contributions made of its faculty.

The administration would like to thank the parents of enrollees who have entrusted their

children during those times when the school was just starting. Likewise, they would also like to

acknowledge the teachers and staff who have worked and stayed for many years of dedication and

Organizational Chart
On-The-Job Training Activities

On my first week as a practicum in Holy Redeemer School (HRS) my daily activities in are

also recorded at my daily activity sheets and time cards. This is what I’am doing for the weeks in

the said Industry. We undergo first some brief orientation headed by Ms. Rachel Matew, the

guidance counselor of the said school. We undergo some rounds and observe the different
classes. We are introduced to the principal and to the other faculties and staffs of the school. We

take good care of the files in the cabinets including the student’s personality tests and cards.

Every day we are doing daily rounds and class observations in the morning. We recorded it at

our handy notebook and eventually record it in the Behavior Log of the Guidance office, by

afternoon we are taking care and helping some students regarding with their subjects, we also

assist them if there is something wrong and when they are heading home. We also did some

Counseling Sessions with the misbehaved students. We assisted some students with their

assignments and we also assisted some teachers during their class. Sometimes, I got tired of

doing those things most especially the rounds in the morning because we have to roam around the

school premises. We also stand as the student’s proctors during their exams and as their older

sister and friend during breaktimes.

We are there to check the students and to have fun with them. We also took care of the

important matters and issues inside the school and in our final week, we conducted some Test

Assessment with the Grade 5, 8 and 10 pupils, testing their personalities, resiliency and

understanding. Even though some parts of the works inside the school was not our obligations, we

need to do it in order to please the authorities because they keeping their eyes on us. This

experience may be the best, working inside the school and helping the children feels great and

refreshing.

Problems Encountered

 Lack of test materials for the well-being of the students.

 The behavior of the teachers are sometimes not good, they have different issues with their

work relationships.

 The proper guidance of the Guidance personnel’s is not enough to help the OJT”s, they

don’t train their interns well and just look take them for granted.

 Students with special needs seem to be not their priority.

RECOMMENDATIONS

 . In terms of providing the OJT”s training inside the premises, they should take it seriously.

They should know what the important and appropriate works for the OJT’s.

 They should expand their office because the Registrar office and Guidance office was

divided in a one room.

 The number of security personnel’s should increase to check and assist the students.
