Question [10 Marks, CLO1-A3]

Q. How the undoubted faith is

considered as a characteristic of
success in the perspective of Surah
Al-
Baqarah? Describe in your own
words.
Ans. Undoubted faith (Yaqeen) is
one of the most important
characteristic of success in the
perspective
of Surah Al- Baqarah. It has three
stages; Ilm-Ul-Yaqeen (Faith
gained by knowledge of
something), Ain-
Ul-Yaqeen (Faith gained by
seeing something) and Haq-Ul-
Yaqeen (Faith gained by
experience of
something. We should have
undoubted faith in Allah and
hereafter and should have belief
that we are
accountable for our deeds. Having
a strong belief in the previous
helps us to become better human
beings, “And He will provide him
from sources unimaginable to him.
And whosoever puts his trust in
Allah, then He will suffice
him. Verily, Allah will
accomplish his purpose. Indeed
Allah has set a
measure for all things.” [Al-Talaq
65:2-3] Constantly being aware
that Allah is watching us and on
the
Day of Judgment we will be held
accountable. This helps us refrain
from Sins and going astray.
Attaining
this characteristics characteristic
constitutes the path of success as
mentioned in Surah-Al-Baqarah:
“Such are on true guidance from
their Lord; such are the truly
successful.” (2:5)
