There are keys to success when taking online courses, not only do you have to be

dedicated and compassionate, you must be able to manage your time, plan and organize

appropriately. Without drive and focus the possibility of failure is heightened. Intended audience

planning. According to CNA Training Advisor (2017), “Planning is one of the most

important skills you can develop. It helps you avoid getting caught in the trap of working

extremely hard and achieving little” (p.1). Planning also prevents procrastinating, which can be

detrimental to success.

organization. Looking ahead at assignments, reading material for assignments and

printing or saving useful material is beneficial when organizing. Utilizing a calendar to write

down deadlines can provide insight to what is expected.

time Management. In order to complete assignments by their assigned due date you

must set aside time to complete assignments. A successful way of doing this is to block time in

your schedule and consider it classroom time. Monitoring time involves planning, organizing,

and prioritizing (International Journal of Caring Sciences, 2018).
