I. The complex concept of the Persistence of Identity.
a. Our “self” constantly changing as time passes.
b. The parts of our own “self” are being replaced by new one yet identical
to the old one.
c. Our past “self” is identical to the present “self”.

II. The situation is an example of philosophical paradox revolving in the


Persistence of Identity.
a. You are numerically identical to the present.
b. You are not qualitatively identical to your present.
c. Each will claim the title of “I” if your past and current self are existing
at the same time.

III. We are made of constantly changing parts.


a. We are a body, mind, emotions and circumstances that are always
changing.
b. Even though we keep changing, we act and stay the same like the old
“self”.
c. These parts are identical to your old “self”.
