Summative Recommendation:

The Lakbay Turo Tutorial project for L-ACCT-1 has successfully concluded its 2-day

fieldwork for the students of Consunji Elementary School in Samal, Bataan. Although the

fieldwork attained its objectives and was executed well, a few recommendations from the group

members were posited for the improvement of the program.

The members recommend conducting a diagnostic assessment of the subjects before

starting the lesson proper to identify the strengths, weaknesses and depth of understanding of the

students that will help in deciding what type of approach and strategy the facilitators must utilize.

The students that were assigned to us were expected to at least perform the basics in each subject

thus the facilitators’ approach was focused towards its mastery. As the discussion proceeded, it

was observed that the pace of the lessons were too fast for the students thus consuming excessive

time on a specific topic and not being able to finish within the allotted time.

Lastly, it would be also recommended for the facilitators to utilize more learning

resources and teaching strategies to fully achieve the objectives of the project plan. Resources

such as additional materials, visual aids, flash cards, etc., could be used when discussing to

further emphasize and instill the lessons being presented. Conducting activities, such as games,

role-plays and other interactives can be also utilized in the discussion to fully catch the students’

interest and make it fun for them.
