Convenient recloser control testing with two
new packages
We have extended the range of our testing
solutions for recloser controls: With the
new RNO1 32-pin Recloser Control Testing
Package, you can test NOJA RC10 recloser
controls. The RTA1 32-pin Recloser Control
Testing Package allows you to control Tavrida
RC-05 recloser controls.
Both packages consist of an interface box
and a cable with labelled connectors for
quickly and conveniently connecting the
CMC test set to the controller under test.
3-phase currents and up to six phases of
capacitive voltage sensors can be simulated
for comprehensive testing all of the settings
in the recloser control.
These lightweight and compact p
­ ackages
work with any CMC 353, 356, 256-6, or
256plus and are supported by C
­ MControl R
and Test Universe. The respective Test U
­ niverse
test template will be delivered with the
­package.

Unique Integration
Test Universe 3.10 offers a new test module that
­supports IEC 61850 Client/Server communication

Engineers responsible for the commissioning, development,
maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of protection systems in
substation automation systems based on IEC 61850 (Ed. 1 and 2)
will find the Client/Server test module particularly beneficial. It
integrates an automated test for IEC 61850 Reports and reading
data attributes from a data model in a Control Center document.
The test module allows you to load the IED description from an
SCL file, connect to the IED, set modes, read data from the IED,
output signals and create an automated test. Sequences for
­testing can be prepared and make testing with IEC 61850 very
easy. Accessing the IED’s data model directly offers new opportu-
nities for testing and assessment.
