STUDY PLAN

My name is Muhtadin. I graduated from Industrial Engineering at University of Trunojoyo

Madura, Indonesia. During undergraduate I have had a lot of organization experiences as an
assistant coordinator in Manufacturing System Laboratory and have joined in some researches
conducted by my professor. Furthermore I had a lot of work experiences as Production Planning
and Inventory Control Staff in the paper manufacture and as Foreman in Consumer good
company. In my college I have conducted research about Hot Press Recycle Plastic HDPE
which are made with automation control. The machine was made for altering plastic waste to be
a valuable product such as chair, table, and houseware made from plastic.
Lately, 3D printing have been growing fast. A large number of companies are moving away
from conventional manufacturing to digital. 3D printing offers many advantages in making
products with high accuracy, low cost, short time and customizable form. A number of benefits
of 3D printing make it easily accepted by many industries including aerospace, automotive,
medical, robotics and others. The rapid development of 3D printing makes the demand for
filament plastic increase. The abundance of plastic waste in my country makes me want to
conduct research on how to produce high quality filaments and low prices using plastic waste. In
Indonesia, some researchers have developed the concept of extruder machine to produce filament
3D printing, but few companies produce filaments due to the high cost and complicated process.
Based on my previous research and the problems, I want to develop my research in the use of
plastic waste by making an Automation Extruder Machine that can produce plastic filaments
as the basic material of a 3D printing. In the research plan I will develop extruder machine that
can be used not only large enterprise but also micro and small enterprise. Besides reducing
plastic waste, this machine will improve the economy of the community in the digital era.
Taiwan is one of the largest exporters of electronic components, mobile phones and spare
parts in the world. This is evidenced by the many products made in Taiwan in Indonesia. It
shows that Taiwan is very advanced in the field of technology. In addition, I choose college of
engineering especially Mechanical Engineering at Chung Yuan Christian University because I
have engineering background. After I have searched, Chung Yuan Christian University is one of
the leading universities in the field of technology in Taiwan. Chung Yuan Christian University
provides adequate resources and facilities to produce quality students. Because of the
information I am eager to study at Chung Yuan Christian University.
During completing my study at Chung Yuan Christian University. I have some plans to join
in several activities such as I want to deepen my fundamental knowledge on my field by joining
research team and gaining experiences in laboratory skills, join in Research Fellowship Program
in the good manufacturing companies in Taiwan, participate in seminars and conferences either
outside or inside campus to gat chance and make relation with other researchers.
After graduating later, I will become a lecturer at my first campus. I will carry out to
continue the research to advance industry in Indonesia and build a young generation with global
insight. To realize that goal, I need a higher education and more useful to improve the
competence and increase my mindset. Now, I want to take the opportunity to study at Chung
Yuan Christian University to support what I aspired above. For the last, I hoped that Chung
Yuan Christian University would give me the opportunity to be a student there. I will really
study there.
