SENIORS who have an AP exam at the same time as a final exam must contact decaminada@fultonschools.org to make up their final
exam. Final exam days for underclassmen are May 24-26: 2-hour exam periods/5 Minute Transitions/Busses depart at 12:45 pm.
Underclassmen that miss a final exam must contact decaminada@fultonschools.org with documentation to make-up their final exam.

Spring 2021 AHS Final Exam Exemption Policy:

• Students who complete 100% of their summatives will exempt the spring semester final exam.
• Students who complete 100% of summatives will not be permitted to sit for the final exam.
• Students who complete between 80% - 99% of summatives will be required to take the cumulative
final exam worth 20% of the final average.
• Students taking courses with a Georgia Milestones End of Course Test (EOC) will have an EOC
worth .01% and a “final graded experience” worth 19.99%. Only the “final graded experience” worth
19.99% is linked to the AHS exemption policy. Students cannot exempt State assessments.

AHS Final Exam Make-Up Procedure:

• Face-to-Face students who will be absent during a final exam must obtain a BLUE Pre-Approved
Absence Form from the Attendance Office, attach a written request signed by the student’s
parent/legal guardian, get it signed by their administrator first and then teacher(s). Follow
instructions on the form.
• Universal Remote students who will be absent during a final exam will submit an excuse note
using their FCS student login and password via a Microsoft form using this link: URL Pre-Approved
Absence Form. This form should be submitted at least five (5) school days before the absence is to
occur. This form will accommodate a jpeg file for the picture upload of the signed and dated excuse
note which should include: name of student, date(s)/time(s) of absence(s), the reason for absence,
parent signature, and parent phone number. After we receive this form, the note/documentation will
be provided to the appropriate administrator for review. If approved: it will be provided to all teachers
for review. If denied: you will be notified. Once the review process is completed, the absence(s) will
be entered into Infinite Campus. Please ensure that you confirmed that the absence has been
documented in Infinite Campus prior to the absence(s). The final exam makeup day is Friday,
