Novel review

One of the most intriguing novels that I have read recently is "11/22/63" by Stephen King. To be honest,
I have never been a fan of science-fiction genre books, but this one kept my attention and suddenly kept
my attention from the very first time.

The story of the book is set in the present, and in the early 1960s, with its main character Jake Epping, a
english teacher who is trying to prevent the assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy.

As a time traveller he is trying to keep the promise made of his dying friend, A.I. Templeton, to stop Lee
Harvey Oswald shooting the american president. So he begins a new life as George Amberson and faces
numerous encounters and dangers for achieving his goal. But as I mentioned, it will not be so easy; he
enters in a completely new world of

During the years 1958 and 1963, Jake stayed busy in various ways. He got a diploma from a certificate
school so that he could work as a substitute teacher and put in bets on sporting events to earn money.
While biding his time in Texas, spying on Lee Harvey Oswald and waiting for the date of Kennedy’s
assassination, he fell in love with a woman named Sadie who is a big distraction from his mission. But
will he succeed? Well, if you will be able to find out by reading the book yourselves.

I would strongly recommend this book to you because it takes you back to one of the most important
time in America's history and the author does a great job of setting the scene of the times, and his
excellent characters carry out the rest of the story.
