The method includes using a pulse oximeter to acquire a leat pulse and blood ‘oxygen saturation percentage, which is transmitted wire wariphone. To ensure thatthe data is accurate, within the smartphone is used to measure ‘movement of the smartphone andr the user. Once accurate data is acquire, it is uploaded tothe cloud (or host), where the data is used (alone or together with other vital signs) to determine whother the user is suffering from (or likely to safer from) avira infection, such as COVID-19. Depend: ing on the specific requirements, the data, changes thereto, andr the determination ean be used to alert medical staf and take eoresponding actions Patent Application Publication —_ Sep. 3, 2020 Sheet 1 of 23 US 2020/0279585 AL 104 eran 4 [ 102 100 -——= 108 | 106 = ¢ a —_ Figure 1 41 v ) a Figure 2A Patent Application Publication Sep. 3, 2020 Sheet 2 of 23.
