TEMPERATURE & BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS

Nurse : Assalamualaikum, good morning Mrs Q. My name is Rulia Putri Hijriah a college
student from Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur and I’ll be looking after you for this
morning starting from 08.00 until 16.00.
Patient : Waalaikumsalam, good morning too Nurse.
Nurse : How are you feeling today?
Patient : I feel unwell because my body feels hot and dizzy
Nurse : Have you eaten yet?
Patient : Yes, I’ve eat this morning and take mediciane.
Nurse : Yesterday you had a fever of 38˚C and blood pressure 140/100 mmHg so today I will
check again the temperature and blood pressure.
Pasien : Okay Nurse
Nurse : Okey here, the purpose of the action is to know your temperature and blood pressure is
normal or not this action lasts 10-15 minutes, are you ready?
Patient : Yes, I’m ready.
Nurse : I will prepare an action to check the temperature and blood pressure. (Take the
instrument and bring the patient closer.)
Patient : Okay Nurse.
Nurse : Before taking action let’s pray first. Bismillairrahmanirrahim.
Patient : Bismillairrahmanirrahim.
Nurse : Excuse me, I will put the thermometer in your armpit after the axilla is then clamped and
hands crssed.
Patient : Okay Nurse
Nurse : Previously I wanted to ask if you had a history of hypertension?
Patient : Yes nurse because my parents have a history of hypertension
Nurse : Well I’II put on your arm cuffs
Patient : (The patient appears to be following directions from the nurse)
Nurse : Well, your blood pressure check is complete and I will take a thermometer from your
armpit then after that will read the results of your blood pressure and temperature which is 37˚C
and maternal pressure 130/90 mmHg
Nurse : Alhamdulillah, your feves has decreased and your blood pressure has returned to normal
Patient : Alhamdulillah, thank you nurse
Nurse : How are you feeling now?
Patient :Alhamdulillah, I feel my feves has decreased and don't feel dizzy anymore.
Nurse : Okay the results are good and Mrs Q is very cooperative in taking action. I will come
back again for the next action. Before I go do you have any questions?
Patient : No, I don’t question.
Nurse : I hope that all of us will always be protected by Allah and you will be healed, Aamiin.
Patient : Aamiin, thank you Nurse.
Nurse : Excuse me.
