Fintastic Investor – FIESTA 2021

The Finance Society, FMS Delhi brings to you "Fintastic Investor", a trading simulation competition
as part of Fiesta'21. Presenting an opportunity to test their expertise in the stock market, participants
shall use their acumen and discernment to stay ahead in the dynamic market!
The year is 2050. The Indian Premiere League (IPL) has been a massive hit in the country for over
30 years. The owners of each of these teams have formed different companies working in different
sector. These companies have become one of the lead firms in the country. You have initial cash
balance of One Lakh Rupees for investment purposes which can be invested in stocks by assessing
the risk adjusted return opportunities. The goal here is to maximise end portfolio value.
Please find below information on the companies listed on the stock exchange:
1. Chennai Super Kings Cements Ltd.: It is a leading manufacturer of cement throughout India.
The company leads in market share in North and Central India. The company has reduced costs
through backward integration and is further looking at reducing transportation cost through
efficient supply chain distributions.
2. Delhi Capitals Group: It is the largest infrastructure company in India. The different services
of the company are - Construction of Buildings & Factories, Heavy Civil Infrastructure,
Transportation Infrastructure, Power Transmission & Distribution, Metro and even Real Estate
projects.
3. Sun Risers Hyderabad Healthcare Ltd.: The Company is India's largest pharmaceutical
company and has over 50 manufacturing facilities spread across 6 continents. They have
acquired various major players as well as small companies over the years in order to expand
and grow.
4. Punjab Kings Ltd.: Punjab Kings entered the consumer goods industry and has developed
expertise in manufacturing and distribution of fast-moving consumer goods. Multiple brands
of the company have large loyal customer base across the country.
5. KKR Entertainment Network: KKR Entertainment operates in Media & Entertainment
sector. The key Products/Revenue Segments include Income from Advertisement,
Subscription Income, Television Content, Transmission Revenue, Commission and Other
Operating Revenue.
6. MI Telco Ltd.: The Company is a major telecom player in India and operates a vast network
of subscriber base here. Main income sources of the company comes from its subscribers and
is calculated in terms of ARPU (Average Revenue per User). The company has recently been
in news and being too focused in its core operations the company is one of the most profitable
company in its sector.
7. RCB Infiniti (E-commerce): It started as an ecommerce company. However with time it
diversified into other verticals such as Web services, e-groceries, finance and gaming.
8. Rajasthan Royal Bank: The bank has become one of the leading financial institution in the
country. Its services include corporate service providers, real estate finance, PE and
Infrastructure & Renewable Energy.

General Instructions:
1. The trading simulation will take place in six rounds.
2. In each round updated stock price of each company and some recent news event will be
presented. Based on details the candidate must decide on which companies to invest in and
update their portfolio.
3. At the end of each round the candidate will have to submit their portfolio details i.e. number
of units of shares held in each of the above company.
4. A negative cash balance in any round will lead to elimination. Thus candidates are advised to
carefully calculate the cash balance and invested amount at the end of each round and then
proceed to next round.
5. The organizing team's (Finance society & Alpha club) decision shall be absolute and it holds
the right to disqualify any team in case of breaching.
Submission Instructions:
1. Details of news events for each round and updated stock price will be provided through Google
form. Thus submission will happen via Google form. (Need to fill 6 Google Forms each
corresponding to a round)
2. Only the team leader is required to submit the form.
3. For each round you need to submit the updated current holding units in each stock. (Not the
number of units you want to buy or sell)
4. The submission must happen with the same email id as used to register for the event on D2C.
5. The link to the Google form will be shared on 27th Feb’2021 at 21:00 hours.
6. The last Google Form (Round 6 form) will stop accepting responses by 27th Feb’2021 22:29
hours. Thus each team will have 90 minutes to complete the simulation.
7. You will get the link to Round 2 form only after submitting the Round 1 form. So it is advised
not to close the tab/window immediately after submitting the Round 1 responses. (And so
on for further rounds)
8. Round 1 form will stop accepting responses by 27th Feb’2021 at 21:29 hours. Following
which successive round forms will close in 15 minutes interval. (Close means it will stop
accepting responses)
9. In case the team fails to submit any form, portfolio till the last form filled form will be
considered for final evaluation.
10. In case the participant loses the next round Google form Link due to connectivity issues or
technical issues. The same will be shared upon previous rounds response closure via email.
