DEWORMING NARRATIVE REPORT

Getting rid of intestinal worms to improve the general fitness and nutrition of the child,
increase the ability to fight other illnesses and even improve school performance is the aim of the
DepEd’s Policy for deworming according to the DepEd order no. 10, S. 2016. The goal is to
have at least 85 percent of all students to be dewormed semi-annually. The medicines for
deworming such as Albendazole and Mebendazole are generally safe and also safe to take for
children with no worms in their body.

LPNHS- Gatchalian Annex took part in the implement of the program that was held last
February 19-24, 2021. The students who are 4Ps beneficiary are the priority to receive the
treatment. This was organized and monitored by the School Health and Nutrition Unit. In the
section of 8- Consistency, the distribution is scheduled on the 22th along with the distribution of
report cards. There are five beneficiaries but unfortunately only two got their tablets and they are
Rommel Corocoto and Gellie Rose Edulan. Both of them successfully taken the medicine and
nothing serious side effects were being reported.
