Objective To acquire a position as a public school music director that enables students to

Leadership Experience
● High School Marching Band Conductor and Student Leader
● Musical Section Leader in the top jazz ensemble and choral ensemble at JMU
● Volunteer 4-H Camp Counselor for 4 consecutive years
● Facilitator of weekly jazz performances at local Harrisonburg businesses
● Practicum experience in the community including rehearsing and teaching a retirement home chorus at VMRC
Involvement
● Member of Kappa Kappa Psi - National Honorary Band Service Fraternity
● Facilitator of JMUke - community informal music learning event put on by JMU Music Education faculty and students
● Facilitator of JMU Jam Van - community outreach event that provided music-making opportunities to underprivileged youth
● Member of the Marching Royal Dukes - JMU Marching band for 2 years
● Performed at various community events in JMU ensembles and independent groups as a saxophonist, vocalist,
drummer, clarinetist, and guitarist

● Will be licensed to teach instrumental and choral music
