Course Content:

• Introduction
• Algorithm Analysis
• Lists, Stacks, and Queues
• Trees
• Hashing
• Priority Queues
• Sorting
• Graph Algorithms

Grading (subject to change)

• 70% - Projects, assignments, and exams


• 30% - Final Exam

Attendance:

Attendance will be taken in each class. A student, who misses two-week’s classes in total without
informing the instructor beforehand and giving the instructor a valid note such as a doctor’s note,
will be dropped from the class.

Suggestions:

• Spend at least 8 hours each week studying for this course


• Take notes carefully
• Check canvas at canvas.stmarytx.edu for announcements and lecture slides
• Do all homework assignments
• Attend all classes, and actively ask questions
• Enjoy the exams
