The Da Vinci Code

Today I'm going to talk a bit about the book called The Da Vinci Code. The Da Vinci
Code is a mystery novel written by Dan Brown and first published by Random House
in 2003. It has become a global best-seller, with more than 80 million copies sold
and translated into 44 languages. It was written in the United States, and the story
takes place mainly in the city of Paris in France. Combining New Age esoteric and
detective suspense genres with a conspiracy theory concerning the Holy Grail and
the role of Mary Magdalene in Christianity, the novel spurred widespread interest in
certain plot theories, a phenomenon defined by Brown as the "Conspiracy boom"

The book generated criticism when it was first published for the inaccurate
description of central aspects of Christianity and descriptions of European art,
history, and architecture. The book has received negative reviews from Catholics
and other Christian communities. Many critics disagree with the level of research
Brown did in writing the story. For his part, the alchemist had very good reviews on
the contrary of this work.

The novel explores an alternative religious history, whose central argument is that
the Merovingian kings of France descended from the lineage of Jesus Christ and
Mary Magdalene, ideas derived from The Templar Revelation by Clive Prince and
the books by Margaret Starbird. The book also talks about The Holy Blood and the
Holy Grail, although Dan Brown has stated that it was not used as research material.
Edgar Allan Poe's Raven is also a story written by an American.

Without a doubt it is one of the most interesting stories told by the writer, since he
was very successful, and for that very reason and after having read it, I think it is a
recommended novel from me for all the public, I loved it you are a fan of mystery
novels, this is the right one.
