In my part, I will introduce you the first quality you need to be a good manager.

This is the orientation

towards results.

o About 60 percent of the time, work teams fail to accomplish their goals, according to Dr. Eunice
Parisi-Carew, a Founding Associate at The Ken Blanchard Companies.

In a new article for Human Resource Executive Online, top 1 reason why this occur is because the lack
of planning. Teams are often formed with little planning or forethought. When people come together on
a team, they have questions that must be addressed: Why are we together? What are the goals? What
role will each of us play? What is expected of me?

Being results-oriented is a crucial skill of a good manager. Being able to make that orient into reality is
an even better skill.

o When managers can see what the future holds, then they can make changes and communicate
this vision to their employees.

This leads to being able to meet goals successfully and troubleshooting barriers and issues well.

This is also the role and responsibility of the project manager. Set them up for success providing them
the understanding of what each of them should be doing will make things easy for team members.

o Some things that a manager could do to help his/her member:

- Set up a suitable goal for the team.

- Be willing to solve the sudden problem.

- Don’t just be a facilitator, be the voice of truth for your team.

- Know the behaviors that are important for success.

- Make sure team has a sense why they have to do this.

o Remember, having a goal from the beginning will make the team more ambitious; always
striving to surpass standards, break records, and be the best.
