My name is Cheyenne Roigk and I took those images that you can see on display here as part of my

storytelliny photography project. The project idea behind it is that throughout your life, you read a
range of different books and I wanted to capture the way those books help you and guide you
through your life. There are books with so many different genres, such as Novels, Cookbooks, Self-
Help books and many more, that could be quite helpful.
The style of photography I was going for was minimalistic as it brings out the different coloured book
covers more, that are art on their own. For some of my photographs I chose colourful backgrounds
so they stand out amongst other photographs. This styles used could be good for advertising
purposes. For example for advertising the book on their own, but also for bookshops and other
marketing purposes.
I mainly took photographs of books I was reading, especially when I was younger, as they inspired me
for living my life now. My inspiration for this project were photographers such as Luke Stephenson,
Katya Hovak and Aaron Thompson.
For the final images of the project I used different perspectives and a selective of my taken
photographs, as it makes the project more interesting in my opinion.
