When coming from the airport, it is best and cheaper to head to the departure area (go up to the
departure area which is above the arrivals area) and flag a taxi from there.
Ask the driver to take you to the intersection of Adriatico and Julio Nakpil Streets in Malate, Manila. Insist
on using the meter. The total bill should be between Php 120 and 150. Get off the cab if the driver refuses
to turn on the meter or makes any other excuse for not using it.
The easier way, of course, is to hire an airport taxi from the arrival area. Php 440 is the flat rate for
anywhere in the city. This recourse is ideal when you fly in late or have no patience haggling about taxi
rates and meters.
