School initiatives

The Every Child A Reader Program (ECARP) is a national program that

supports the thrust of the Department of Education (DepEd) to make every child a
reader and writer at his/her grade level. It is supporting the attainment of Education
for All (EFA) target of universal school participation and elimination of dropouts and
repetition in the first three- grades.
In line with this, our school has initiated a program to help struggling readers
from Kindergarten to Grade 3 through the development of a workbook and a
storybook. This is also to strengthen the school’s reading program, “Libro mo,
Basahon Ko” which one of the school’s banner programs. This helps us in achieving
our goals for the betterment of our learners. This helps develop the young minds and
develop their fullest potential to become competent and productive citizens of our
country as well as to the community who are academically competent learners,
loaded with values and the necessary skills needed in the 21st Century world. This is
carefully crafted for the improvement of the performance of our learners and for the
continuous improvement of our school. It is our goal to develop the pupils' skills and
competencies, protect and promote the cultural, linguistic, and religious values that
are significant to their individual development.
The school empowers every organization to realize our dream through shared
governance. Each organization contributes for the continuous improvement of the
school and for the pupils’ holistic development in general. Teachers are actively
involved in the implementation of the different Programs and Projects and are
committed in improving instruction and sharing of best practices and experiences
during Learning Action Cell (LAC) session. They are taught with the necessary skills
to improve instruction. The SPG officers have the voice in decision making and serve
as role models of the school.
Strong partnership is being encouraged with our stakeholders. The School
Governing Council (SGC) and the School Planning Team (SPT) work together for a
well- managed, child-friendly, gender sensitive and nurturing environment. We value
teamwork which is the cheapest yet the most genuine ingredient for the success and
improvement of our school. We believe that through teamwork, we will be able to
attain our ultimate goal; the holistic development of our school children. With the
help of this School Improvement Plan, we will be able to overcome the different
challenges, champion change and make a difference in the lives of our learners.
