Creating a New User Account

If you need to create a new user account in Windows 7, please follow the following steps:

I. Select the Windows Start menu button as shown in picture. 

II. Click on Control Panel.


III. Select the User Accounts.

IV. Select Manage another account.


V. Select Create a new account.

VI. In the New Account Name text box, type a name for the new account.
VII. Click on Create Account.

VIII. The new user now appears in the Choose the account you would like to change box.

Switching Users
You can switch Windows 7 users while already logged in.
To switch users in Windows 7 follow the as given below:

I. Select the Windows Start button menu displaying on the bottom of screen. 


II. Select the Shut down arrow.

III. Select Switch User.

1. Select the user you want to log in as.

Pinning Programs to the Taskbar


You can easily access programs that you use often by pinning them to the taskbar.
To pin a program to the taskbar:

I. Open the program, and notice that its icon appears in the taskbar.

II. Right-click the icon and choose Pin this program to taskbar.

III. The program will now permanently appear on the taskbar unless you choose to
unpin it.

Snipping Tool

One of the new features of Windows 7 is the Snipping Tool. You can use the Snipping Tool to
take a screenshot of an item on your screen.
To use the Snipping Tool:

I. Select the Start menu button.


II. In the Search programs and files text box, type "snipping tool".

III. Select the Snipping Tool.

VI. 5.Drag to select an area to capture.
VII. 6.The mark-up window is displayed, showing the screenshot.
a. 7.To save the screenshot, select the File menu, and select Save As.
