The geometry of cutting tool surfaces is one of the crucial parameters
affecting the quality of manufacturing process and has been traditionally defined using the principles of projective geometry. The parameters of geometry defining the various cutting tool angles are described by means of taking appropriate projections of the cutting tool surfaces. Development in the field of computer Aided Geometric Design(CAGD) now provide more elegant approach for specifying the cutting tool surfaces as a set of bi parametric surface patches. In this study different forces which gets induced on the single point cutting tool is applied on the 3d model of the component and its structural characteristics are analyzed and the same procedure is repeated by applying the different material which possess higher strength and its structural properties are characterized. The results obtained is compared with the common existing material, for identifying the best suitable replacement material for manufacturing the effective tool which is used for production operations. The cutting tool geometry is created using SOLIDWORKS 2016 and analysis part is carried out using finite element software called ANSYS WORKBENCH R 16. 3D MODEL OF THE CUTTING TOOL IS CREATED USING SOLIDWORKS
