B. Routing Between VLANs

1. 3 Methods used to inter-VLAN Traffic
How to Get between VLANs

Trunk is an interface that sends all VLANs

Use Trunk interfaces to connect :

 switches together
 Switch to a router

Layer 3 switching Uses switch ASICs to move data between VLANs which means that all
VLANs coming to this Multilayer switch can route between each other and their devices can
communicate through layer 3 switch being routed at wire speed.
Why we still use Routers if a multilayer switch can do it all?
Router can make your Traffic dance alone and switches cannot work on WAN
Configure VLANs on a single switch
Assign a port for a VLAN
Configure A Router On a Stick
Go to control panel and give computer a default gate way we will need dns if we use it by name
