Journal 21th –25th February (Week 2 )

This week focuses on the PdPR session that SK Bukit Petiti pupils have to attend due to
school not opening yet until March 7th. The headmaster as well as my mentee, Teacher
Nadia Wahib suggested me to use telegram as the medium to inform the pupils about the
class. Google meet platform is not recommended as 90-95% of the pupils cannot join the
class. The method used was using the Microsoft Powerpoint presentation to be the teaching
material that has recorded teaching. The video was uploaded via YouTube and the pupils
can access it anytime in the given period of time. Producing a teaching material is crucial to
make sure that pupils are learning at home, they must have the opportunity to learn.

Reflection

During the second week, I can conclude that not all of the pupils came from a wealthy family
that can provide an optimum opportunity to learn in this hard time. Most of the pupils came
from B40 family, many of them did not have the chance to own a smartphone/tablet to use
during the online learning.
