Pressure/Temperature Switch that senses
loss of Gearbox Lube Oil Pressure and over-
temperature. The Drive is also interlocked
with a DC Motor Thermal Switch. Drive

Speed Pot. Speed is measured by Tach
Generator feed back and is displayed on an
RPM Indicator.

The Avitech® Model 1716 Starter/Generator

Test Stand has been designed specifically to
perform functional tests of the
Starter/Generator, Lear Siegler P/N 23080-
series generators, including the 23080-013
starter/generator used on the Embraer Control Panel of the Model 1716
EMB120. The Test Stand will also
accommodate testing of other similar DC APPLICABILITY
Starter/Generators. • Lear Siegler P/N 23080 series Starter/
Generators and other similar Generators.
The Avitech® Model 1716 Test Stand Includes the Lear Siegler P/N 23080-013
houses a 20 HP DC Drive system, a Stall Starter/Generator utilized on the Embraer
Pad, a Lubrication System, a cooling blower, EMB 120 Brasilia.
a Load Bank, and the Instrument Panel. The
Test Area is located on the front of the Test
Stand. All UUT Connections are made in
this area. The Starter/Generator mounts
directly on either of the Mounting Flanges
located on the Instrument Panel. The Test
Stand also includes separate Power Supply
and Isolation Transformer.
The Drive System consists of an SCR
Controller, a 20 HP DC Motor coupled to a
Gearbox to provide drive output speed of 0-
13,000 RPM. The system also contains the
