1 About This Document

This document describes how to use IPC Tool. IPC Tool provides a way for users to configure or update the
cameras.

Overview of Contents
This user guide includes:
• Chapter 1, About This Document, which is a brief introduction of this user guide.
• Chapter 2, Starting the IPC Tool, which introduces how to successfully start IPC Tool when your
windows system is protected by a firewall.
• Chapter 3, Connecting the Cameras to IPC Tool, which describes how to connect the cameras to the
IPC Tool.
• Chapter 4, Configuring the Cameras, which is divided into Settings and Batch Settings parts to
describe how to configure a camera or conduct batch settings to a few cameras.

2 Starting the IPC Tool

Insert the CD that came with your camera into your computer's disk drive, and follow the on-screen

instructions. Double-click the IPC Tool icon to start the IPC Tool.
If the Windows Security Alert appears, select the check boxes for all three types of networks, and then click
Allow access. Then, click Refresh to refresh the IPC Tool.

If the Windows Security Alert is not shown and the IPC Tool cannot be started, add the program to the
firewall exception list:
1. Go to Control Panel System and Security Windows Firewall Allowed programs, and click Allow
another program…

2. In the Add a Program window, click Browse:

3. Locate IPC Tool and then click Open:

4. In the Add a Program window, select IPCTool.exe in the Programs list, and then click Add.

5. In the Allowed programs and features list, select IPCTool.exe, select the check boxes for Domain,
Home/Work, and Public, and then click OK.

6. Restart the IPC Tool.

3 Connecting the Cameras to IPC Tool

To connect cameras to the IPC Tool, open the IPC Tool, input the username and password of the camera
that you want to connect to, and then click Connect. Do this for each camera that you want to connect. The
default username is admin and the default password is 1234.

You can distinguish the newly added cameras by their live videos (click ).

4 Configuring the Cameras

The following figure shows the basic layout of the IPC Tool.

System Version Connection Status Camera Models

Language IPC Tool IP Address

You can configure a single camera or multiple cameras at the same time. To configure a single camera,
click Setting. To configure multiple cameras, click Batch Setting.

Setting
Click Setting to check or configure the following options of a selected camera: Connection Status, Camera
Models, Mac Address, IP Address, Device Information, Video, Network, Upgrade (see Figure 4-1).

Connection Status
You can filter the cameras according to their connection status. Click the drop-down list to choose a
connection status:

Camera Models
You can filter the cameras according to models of the camera. Click the drop-down list to choose a camera
model:

MAC
This column displays the MAC address of each camera.

IP
This column displays the IP address of each camera.

Device Information
Click Device Information to view or edit the device information of the selected camera.

Device Name - You can edit the name of the selected camera.
Version - The system version of the selected camera.
Video Format - The format of the selected camera (NTSC or PAL).

If the format of the selected camera is not available, its video format will not be
shown on this page.

More Details - Click Web Page to go to the detailed configuration website of the selected camera.

If the web browser version is IE8, IE9 or IE 10, select Use TLS1.2 in Internet Options. Otherwise, the web
page may not be displayed:

1. Click in the top right corner of an IE browser.

2. Go to Internet optionsAdvanced.
3. Select Use TLS1.2 and then click Apply.
4. Reenter the web page and click Continue to this website (not recommended).

Video
Click Video to display the first stream live video of the selected camera.

Network
Click Network to configure the network settings for the selected camera.

Obtain DNS server address automatically option will not be available if the
selected camera is in a different subnet.

DHCP - To obtain the IP address automatically, select DHCP check box. Otherwise, manually enter the IP
address.
Obtain DNS Server Address Automatically - To obtain the preferred DNS server address automatically,
select the Obtain DNS server address automatically check box. Otherwise, manually enter the DNS server
address.

Upgrade
Click Upgrade to upgrade the firmware of the selected camera..

Current Version - The current firmware version of the selected camera.

Target File - Click Browse, locate the upgrade file, and then click Upgrade to upgrade the camera to the
new firmware version.

Batch Setting
Click Batch Setting to check or configure the following options of a few selected cameras: Connection
Status, Camera Models, Mac Address, IP Address, Camera Version, Camera Format, Network, NTP, Video
Format and Upgrade.

Connection Status Camera Models

For details about the connection status and camera models, refer to Connection Status and Camera
Models on page 7.

Network
Click Network to configure the network settings for the selected cameras.

To assign IP addresses to the selected cameras, follow these steps:

1. Filter the cameras by connection status.
2. Select the cameras that you want to assign IP addresses to.
3. On the Network tab, assign IP address for the selected cameras using one of the following methods:
• To assign IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway settings automatically, select the
Set all to DHCP check box.
• To assign IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway settings manually, clear the Set
all to DHCP check box and enter the settings.
4. Click Apply and then click Refresh.

NTP
Click NTP to set the time for the selected connected cameras:

Time Zone - Select the time zone for the selected cameras.
Daylight Saving - Select to enable Daylight Saving mode.
DHCP - Select to get the NTP server address through DHCP.

NTP Server - Manually enter the NTP server address or domain to synchronize the time.
Click Apply to apply this setting.

Video Format
Click Video Format to set the format of the selected connected cameras (NTSC or PAL). Click Apply to
apply this setting.

Upgrade
Click Upgrade to upgrade the firmware of the selected connected cameras.

The cameras of a certain module are displayed from oldest to newest firmware
version.

1. Select the cameras that you want to upgrade.

2. Click Browse, locate the upgrade file, and then click Upgrade to upgrade the cameras to
the new firmware version.

2 启用 IPC Tool

将随产品附送的 DVD/CD 插入电脑，并按屏幕提示进行操作。双击“IPC Tool.exe”图标 启用 IPC Tool。

若弹出 Windows 安全警报，请勾选下图红框所示所有网络选项，并点击【允许访问】。之后，点击【刷新】刷

新 IPC Tool 主界面。

若 Windows 安全警报没有弹出，且无法启用 IPC Tool，请检查系统防火墙，并将此程序添加到"允许的应用"列

表。

1. 依次进入控制面板系统和安全 Windows 防火墙 允许的应用，并点击 【允许其他应用…】，如下图

所示：

2. 在弹出的窗口点击【浏览】，如下所示：

3. 在弹出窗口选择 IPC Tool.exe 程序并点击【打开】，如下图所示：

4. 在应用列表中选择“IPC Tool.exe”后，点击【添加】，如下图所示：

5. 勾选 IPC Tool.exe 程序的“专用”、“公用”等其他通讯网络，如下图所示：

6. 点击【 确定】并重启 IPC Tool。

3 连接摄像机

打开 IPC Tool 主界面后，输入摄像机用户名和密码，并点击【连接】。首次连接摄像机时，默认用户名为

“admin”，默认密码为“1234”。

输入其他摄像机用户名和密码继续连接其他相应摄像机。

用户可通过摄像机的实时视频分辨摄像机（点击 ）。

下图显示 IPC Tool 的主界面各个基本配置信息：

用户可点击【设置】对单个摄像机进行设置，或点击【批量设置】对多个摄像机进行批量设置。

点击【设置】可查看或设置某个所选摄像机：连接状态、摄像机型号、MAC 地址、IP 地址、设备信息、视频、

网络设置和升级（见图 4-1）.

连接状态
用户可以通过“连接状态”筛选出所需摄像机。 点击连接状态下拉框显示连接状态选项，如下图所示：

摄像机型号
用户可以通过“摄像机型号”筛选出所需摄像机。点击下拉框显示摄像机型号列表，如下图所示：

MAC 地址
显示每个摄像机所对应的 MAC 地址。

IP
显示每个摄像机所对应的 IP 地址。

设备信息
点击【设备信息】查看或编辑所选摄像机的设备信息。

设备名 -可编辑所选摄像机名称。

版本 -所选摄像机的版本信息。

视频制式 -所选摄像机的视频制式（NTSC 或 PAL）。

若无法获得摄像机视频制式，则此项为空。

更多细节 - 点击【网页浏览】查看或设置所选摄像机更多配置信息。

若浏览器版本为 IE8、IE9 或 IE10，则按如下步骤设置浏览器，否则页面会无法显示：

1. 点击 IE 浏览器右上角 。

2. 点击【Internet 选项】【高级】。

3. 勾选【使用 TLS 1.2】，并点击【应用】。

4. 重新进入【网页浏览】，并点击“继续浏览此网页（不建议）”。

视频
点击【视频】显示所选摄像机第一路实时视频。

网络设置
点击【网络设置】为所选摄像机设置网络选项。

若所选摄像机为跨网段摄像机，则 “自动获取 DNS 服务器地址”选项将不适用。

DHCP - 勾选 DHCP 自动获取 IP 地址；若不勾选 DHCP，则手动输入 IP 地址。

自动获取 DNS 服务器地址 -若已勾选 DHCP，勾选“自动获取 DNS 服务器地址”可自动获取首选 DNS 服务

器地址；若未勾选 DHCP，则手动输入首选 DNS 服务器地址。

点击【应用】应用此网络设置。

升级
点击【升级】将所选摄像机升级到目标版本。

当前版本 - 所选摄像机当前版本。

目标文件 -点击【浏览】查找所需目标文件；点击【升级】将所选摄像机升级到目标版本。

批量设置

点击【批量设置】可查看或批量设置某些所选摄像机：连接状态、摄像机型号、MAC 地址、IP 地址、版本、制

式、网络设置、NTP、视频制式和升级。如下图所示：

连接状态 摄像机型号

“连接状态”及“摄像机型号”详情请分别参见第 21 页连接状态和摄像机型号章节。

摄像机排列顺序按照版本信息排列。

网络设置
点击【网络设置】来设置所选摄像机的网络信息。

按照如下步骤为摄像机分配 IP 地址：

1. 根据摄像机连接状态筛选摄像机。

2. 单击选择需要设置 IP 地址的摄像机。

3. 用以下两种方式设置摄像机 IP 地址（如图 4-9）：

• 勾选“设置所有为 DHCP”：自动分配 IP 地址、“子网掩码”和“默认网关”。

• 不勾选“设置所有为 DHCP”：手动输入 IP 地址、“子网掩码”和“默认网关”。

4. 点击【应用】并刷新此界面。

NTP
点击【NTP】为所选摄像机设置时间，如下图所示：

时区 -为所选摄像机选择所在时区。

夏令时 – 勾选启用夏令时模式。

DHCP – 勾选通过 DHCP 获取 NTP 服务器地址。

NTP 服务器 -手动输入 NTP 服务器地址或域名以同步时间。

点击【应用】应用 NTP 设置。

视频制式
点击【视频制式】设置所选摄像机的制式（NTSC 或 PAL），选择后点击【应用】。

升级
点击【升级】对所选摄像机进行批量升级。

同一型号的摄像机按固件版本号排序。

按照如下步骤批量升级摄像机：

1. 筛选出需要升级的摄像机。

2. 点击【浏览】查找目标升级文件。

3. 选中升级文件后，点击【升级】。
