STORY 1

TITLE: Finding a Friend

Grace: She is the youngest sister in the brood of four.

Cesar: He is the brother of Grace, and he is the only brother.

Gina: She is the sister of Grace and she is a teacher.

Olivia: She is the sister of grace and she is a teacher also like Gina.

Emilia: She was a very intelligent girl, full of fun, bubbly and has a lot
of friends.

Mona: Grace beautiful doll and she is the only one who listens to the
story.

Setting:

Place: school, beach, cave and home

Day: one day, three in the afternoon, evening and last night, next day,
in Saturday, Monday

PLOT/SUMMARY:

Grace is the youngest in a brood of four, she has two sisters

Named, Gina and Olivia, and one brother named Cesar. Grace is only
twelve years old the age gaps among grace, her two sisters and
brother make her lonely. She is love by everybody, grace knows this
but she feels she has no friends she can confide in to grace, Mona, her
beautiful doll, is the only who listens to the stories. They live near the
sea, grace and her friend Mona spent a lot of time on the beach, near
the beach, there was a big cave which grace imagined to be the home
of a friendly dragon. She liked school very much because she enjoyed
the lesson but to shy and quiet to make friends. One day, the class
had to select the best storyteller. One criterion was that story must be
original. Many joined the contest but only two were chosen as
finalists. Grace was chosen because she narrated the story of a
friendly dragon and the other one, Emilia, told a story about pirates.
The finals came and almost everybody in school showed up to witness
the contest. Everyone crowded around Emilia after the contest and
told her how smashing her story was. Grace was disappointed
because nobody praised her.

It was three in the afternoon when grace took Mona to the beach.
Grace carried a pail and talked to Mona about what happened in
school. She propped the doll up on a ledge at the back of the cave and
went off to search for shells and pebbles. She chose the prettiest one
with attractive colours like, yellow, lavender, pink, and she also
picked up tiny white pebbles. She returned to the cave and she
presented the beautiful garden to doll Mona. And after that her
brother call her and said that they needed to go back home. She
obeyed and immediately waded to the mouth of the cave, found the
water to be quite deep for her, and they well go home, and Grace
slipped into the house quietly, but she left Mona in the cave. The next
day she went back in cave but Mona has been lost. She is crying and
she is so very lonely, Monday came, she went to the school very
lonely, and she told Emilia about Mona and the cave, Emilia became
interested in the cave and asked about it, when evening came, grace
felt excited to see Emilia again, she no longer missed Mona.

MORAL LESSON:

Don’t be lonely if you don’t have a friend, be happy every time and
sometimes you want to be a friendly child.
