Three people from Asian countries have arrived in Bogotá,

Miss SAFA from Saudi Arabia, Seon Lee from South Korea and Nohemi from Japan.

Welcome to Bogotá.Hello Caroline

How was the trip?

N: Nohemi, a little turbulent ...S: Seón, for me ... very long S: Safa, Very funny, I saw many mountains ...

They stay with three different families.

The three young people went out for a weekend to get to know the city and went to Melgar for a youth meeting

at a spa.

When they returned to the city, they told us about their experiences with families and some protocols that

turned out to be different for them since activities such as:

SAFA of Saudi Arabia; Normally the meetings are for men and women meet alone, so seeing both girl and boy

together, I am a little intimidated, and in my country we do not wear such small clothes ...

Arabs are very close people to make conversations, it is not strange to see men holding hands to walk and

talk. Which is not usually done in Colombia. It has nothing to do with men's sexual preferences.

But it has to do with the way of showing cordiality towards friends or family.

The expressions of affection in public that we see in Colombia, in arabia saludita are prohibited and you could

be criminally fined.

In Arabia, the relations of men and women, the contact in public is practically nil.

You shouldn't talk about politics, religion or sex with the Arabs, it is impolite and vulgar.

At dinner time, It is important to remember that the Arabs take everything with the right hand, until they say

hello and they may not use the cutlery as we usually do here, please never invite them to consume alcoholic

beverages, they will not accept your invitation.

For Lee, it was incredible to see so many people having fun, drinking, very high volume of music and very

sensual movements ... but fun.

The Corea del sur are very ceremonious people, with deep-rooted customs and very respectful of others, they

highly value the good manners of the people they deal with, so personal presentation and professional

preparation are valuable to them.

In Japan, unlike Colombia, it is frowned upon that you smoke in public, that you smile strongly, that you cry,

that you call a taxi with a whistle ... loud music uhm ... for them they are acts of rudeness.

Although it is true that the Japanese eat everything with their chopsticks, they can also accept eating with

traditional cutlery like ours, as a courtesy act towards a foreigner.

They are very serious and hardly speak during meals ... but they are really kind.

In Japan, the rules are respected when using public transport.Normally you do not use the chairs that are

intended for pregnant women or the elderly, so we had to learn from them this rule of civility.

For Noemi from Japannes, Colombian food turned out to be very impressive, the paisa tray turns out to be a

very large dish for one person and having three types of meat on the same plate, a different combination ...

Koreans have a habit of taking off their shoes before entering a house. It is a matter of hygiene but also of

respect, today in Colombia this custom is being adopted for the same reason, hygiene so it is important to

wear stockings without gaps.

When you go out with your friends in Japan the bill is paid half, or you invite or you are invited but that of

dividing the account

At the table, you must wait for your neighbor or friend to fill your glass, and you will return the gesture but you

will never serve yourself the drink, it is different because Colombia really is the host who serves ...

They are not very given to unnecessary physical contact. This can draw a lot of attention to Colombians, who

are so expressive and loving, but in South Korea, it is better not to cross that line.

In Korea it is not advisable to kiss when greeting the traditional thing is a head tilt (the older our interlocutor,

the steeper the tilt will be).

To call someone, you must do it with the palm of your hand down and moving your fingers. Never with your

hands up because it is the way they have in South Korea to call animals. So when you go to South Korea or

any country in Asia

I recommen I recommend you take into account the guidelines given here, so as not to go uneducated.
