LETS LEARN SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE


WHAT IS A SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE?

The simple present tense is used to show or describe habitual actions. (VERB)
For example:
1. Johan likes to eat apples.
2. Johan and Nabil play together everyday.
3. The cat sleeps on the chair.
SINGULAR SUBJECT (ONE PERSON/OBJECT)
• A singular subject must take a plural verb.
• By adding “s” on the verb.
• For example;

SUBJECT VERB ACTION/AGREEMENT


/OBJECT
Nabil plays football everyday

Adding “s” behind the verb

SINGULAR SUBJECT FOR “YOU AND I”

• You and I are singular subjects but we don’t put “s” at the verb.

PLURAL SUBJECT (MORE THAH 1 PERSON/OBJECT)
• A plural subject must take a singular verb.
• No need to add “s” on the verb.
• For example;

No need to add “s” behind the verb
