Veterinarian Technician 1

Abstract

Starting off as a veterinarian technician earns a good amount of money of $15.83 an hour to pay

for bills and schooling. Then, while working, moving up to veterinarian with classes hopefully

converting from veterinarian technician. Learning the amount for schooling time helped put into

reference on how long it will take to complete the end goal of becoming a veterinarian. This also

shows if it is worth starting off with a veterinarian technician and then working towards a

veterinarian. This includes looking at the amount of job openings with the field. A veterinarian

technician has 850 more job openings than a veterinarian, but a veterinarian has a higher outlook

of 21% increase in the state of Minnesota. Something to take into consideration as well is how

long schooling will be and if some classes transfer to the other. Schooling for a veterinarian

technician can take up to 2 years with the veterinarian taking 4 years of college and veterinarian

school. One more factor to consider is where one would want to work as a veterinarian since the

license varies from state to state.
