DIALOGUE SCRIPT OF SITUATION 1

Nurse : “Assalamu’alaikum, good morning. Is this true with Mr. Kim?”


Patient : “Wa’alaikumsalam, yes I am Mr. Kim.”

Nurse : “Mr. Kim, let me to introduce myself. My name is Melati Kinasih. I was a nurse on duty
from seven in the morning until three the evening. My purpose here is to observe your vital signs
including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Well, at this time I will do a vital sign check on you.
This check takes a few minutes. Are you willing?”
Patient : “Yes, I am ready.”
Nurse : “Mr. Kim, I will close the curtains and doors to keep your privacy. Before we start, it will be
better if we read Basmalah together.”
Nurse & Patient : “Bismillahirrahmanirrahim”
Nurse : “First, I will measure blood pressure using a tensimeter and stethoscope, excuse me?”
Patient : “Yes, please.”
Nurse : “Next, I will measure the pulse using a stethoscope, excuse me?”
Patient : “Yes, please.”
Nurse : “And then, I will measure body temperature using a thermometer and will put it in the
armpits of you, excuse me, can lift your arms?”
Patient : “Yes, I can lift it.”
Nurse : “Do you find it difficult to breathe?”
Patient : “No, I breathe like usual, I don’t feel short of breath.”
Nurse : “I have finished checking the vital signs. According to the results of the examination of
maternal blood pressure of one hundred thirty per eighty mmHg, pulse ninety times per minute and a
body temperature of thirty-eight degrees Celsius. It means you have a fever.”
Nurse : “Mr. Kim, based on the measurement results, it can be concluded that your vital signs are
not normal. For a follow-up plan, you can compress your body with warm water to reduce fever and
drink more water.”
Patient : “Yes, nurse.”
Nurse : “Okey, because this action has been completed, it will be better if we read hamdalah
together.”
Nurse & Patient : “Alhamdulillahirabbil’alamin”
Nurse : “Mr. Kim, well, then I will excuse myself out first. If you need something, please contact
me in the nurse’s office or you can call me via the button above your bed. I will permit to say
goodbye, and for the upcoming contract, I will come here again tomorrow at 8 am to monitor your
situation. Assalamu’alaikum.”
Patient : “Wa’alaikumsalam, thank you nurse.”
Nurse : “You’re welcome, Mr.Kim.”
