Reflection

Nouf used a new way to teach the children which is an online class. Her lesson was on 2

November on Monday about learning the sound of the letter J and how to write it.

At first, Nouf welcomed the children and shows them the team rules. For example, open the

camera and mute the microphone. Then she told them what they will learn today. She engaged

the children through play the song of the sounds. The children were very active with her. After

that, she asked them to sing an alphabet song to find out which litter will become after litter H?.

The children say the letter J comes after the letter H.

Nouf start to teach the children how to write the letter J. She uses different activities for the

kids. Firstly, she asked them to write the letter J in the air. Secondly, she asked them to write it

on nearpod. This teaching was very active for the children. Thirdly, she shows students the

cards if the word had a J sound students have to jump. This activity made the children excited.

Fourthly, she asked students to match different types of juices on nearpod. Fifthly, she asked

students to walked around and find some objects start with the letter j such as jam then they

open their camera to show her. She made the children move to interact with her more. Finally,

she asked students to compare jellybeans and match the same, more and less.

At the end of her lesson, she gave students online games about the letter j. Also, she gave

them homework.
