POWER OF SANCTION

The power of sanction of some main items are as given below: -

1. To accord technical sanctions to estimates for works -

 Civil Engineer – Full power

 Superintending Engineer – Up to Rs. 30 lakhs for road works and Rs. 15 lakhs
for other works.
 Executive Engineer - Up to Rs. 10 lakhs for road works and up to Rs. 5 lakhs
for other works.

2. To sanction work charged establishments when specific provision exists in the sanctioned
estimate -

 Civil Engineer – Up to Rs.750/-p.m

 Superintending Engineer- Up to Rs.500/-p.m
 Executive Engineer – Up to Rs.300/-p.m
 S.D.O. and Assistant Engineer – Up to Rs.200/-p.m

3. To sanction work charged establishments without specific provision in the sanctioned

estimate –

 Civil Engineer – Up to Rs.250/-p.m for operator of road making machinery and up to

Rs. 200/- for other works.
 Superintending Engineer – Up to Rs. 125/-p.m
 Executive Engineer – Up to Rs. 75/- p.m
