Communication via social media networks, e-activities are considered as means for enhancing various

and different skills can be utilized in e-contents for strengthening and enhancing linguistic
communication with other people through e-learning situations and other subjects. Using Facebook
Messenger as a personal purposes domain eases communication from peer-to-peer to negotiate
academic topics, group discussions and activities.

According to Toetenel (2014) it’s showed that Facebook Messenger is a social media web application
that were used by a million people everyday. Most of the students use it frequently especially on this
generation, it is for communication and keeping in touch with friends and relatives. We, as young aldults
use Facebook as well. We acknowledfe its execellent role in delivering written messages, voice records,
calls and visuals. Facebook is good in promoting daily communication, it should be also suited in the
school activities too. Its aim is to stimulate more involvement in the learning activities, mainly in the
writing academical assignments and activities. The research that started in the fall 2012 that showed
that Facebook has indeed a great idea as a means for teachers to reach their students easily. It’s
conclusion is that since using Facebook the foreign language class has progressed towards an
environment for having a genuine communication.

In additional, Graham (2011) in his study it mentioned that the Facebook is a popular social media
website that allows the people to interact with their friends and loved ones from far away and around
the world. With it’s growing popularity and population, this study was conducted to know if Facebook
would impove social communication skills of the students. During the discussion, the students were
observed and their initiation and reciprocation in communicating with their teachers and peers
recorded. Students were instructed to use Facebook in English Language over a two-week period with
appropriate training for improving conversational skills and providing appropriate personal information
on the internet. The results showed that the student’s skills were improved in terms of initiating and
reciprocating social communication using Facebook.

While Baruah (2016) claimed that social media like Facebook, Messenger, Twitter, Skype etc., are used
extensively for the purpose of communication. One of its most important advantage is the online
sharing of knowledge and information among different groups of people and students. This online
sharing also promotes the increase in the communication skills among the people especially students
and learners of educational institutions. Online tools and technology has not only mediated
communication in countless ways, but that the very ways we communicate and even the ways we talk
and think about communication are changing as a result. Social Media have the potential interms of
fundamentally change the character of our social lives in interpersonal and community level.
