Selection Process

Selection must be based from pool of recruited candidates. Therefore there is a pattern
by the virtue of which candidates must be selected. In today’s lecture we will start
discussing the pattern used for selection. However, this is a generic pattern and not
been used consistently in all form of organizations.

The first Point Included in the Process of Selection is

Initial Screening: Although when we have recruited properly through investing


significant time and cost then there is no need of initial screening. However, if
company’s perform initial screening as the part of selection then it is used toevaluate
the ethical and moral values and competencies of the applicants. Mostly the
organizations used to have two to three interviews in the selection process used initial
screening although after application review of blank.

The Second Point Included in the Process of Selection is

Application Review of Blank:

Application of review of blank is the process in which company’s representative


provides a form to a person in order to have quick profile as well as summary of ethical
and moral values from the person. Thus through utilizing information in CV and
application of review of blank an interviewer may pose some close ended or direct close
ended questions to interviewee.

These tests are mostly conducted by government sector then by semi-government


sector and then by private sector. There are several types of tests which organization
may take as per their requirements and their abilities.
