EMAAN BOOSTERS

Many times we fall spiritually ill to weak

emaan. We say things like...
"I don't find any joy in worship,"
"I feel like my emaan has hit rock bottom,"
"I fall into sin easily."

It's important that we check our hearts

straight away, find out the nature and cause
of the problem, and start treating it straight
away before it gets worse. Here are 4 things
we can do today:

TRY TO KEEP AN EMPTY STOMACH

Reducing our food intake will help

us think clearly and focus more.
DO: Sunnah fasts.

KEEP COMPANY WITH THE PIOUS

KEEP REMEMBERING THE SINS ONE

HAS COMMITTED AND ASK ALLAH

FOR FORGIVENESS

GIVING UP OR REDUCING

SINFUL DESIRES
Allah says:

AND KNOW THAT

YOUR POSSESSIONS
AND CHILDREN ARE
BUT A TRIAL AND
THAT SURELY WITH
ALLAH IS A MIGHTY
REWARD.
82:8 LAAFNA-LA HARUS
TIPS TO

IMPROVE SALAAH

Change our attitude to servitude

(of Allah Almighty). Be in a constant
perpetual condition of submitting to
Allah Almighty.

Perfecting the 5 pillars of Salaah:

1. Recitation (qira'a)
2. Standing (qiyam)
3. Bowing down (ruku)
4. Prostration (sujud)
5. Remembrance of Allah (dhikr)

Finding comfort in Salaah is a skill

that we must learn and develop over
time. To learn a skill we need to
research, ask questions, and
practice. Without learning this skill,
we will often feel hassled every time
we have to pray Salaah.

WORRYING ABOUT THE

FUTURE
Allah Almighty says,
"Satan threatens you with poverty and orders
you to commit sins; whereas Allah promises you
Forgiveness from Himself and Bounty" (2: 268).

In today's current situation, we are engaged in

fear and disaster. We tend to be seized by the
misfortunes of tomorrow and expect the worst to
come. However, do we know the future? No. Do
not seek to pick fruits before they become ripe.
We should not be thinking about how to cross a
bridge until we get to it; who knows, maybe we
will never get there, or maybe the bridge will be
destroyed before we even reach it, or maybe we
get there and cross it safely by Allah's command.
In Islam, we should not think deeply about the
future and the unseen world (Ghaib) and become
seized by the fear of unexpected events and
dilemmas. It is simply battling against a shadow
and rationally censured.

Tomorrow has no reality, no taste or colour, non-

existent, and since our souls are not in our hands,
we should not bet on the non-existent. We don't
know when we will die, so leave tomorrow until it
comes; don't ask of its nature because you live
only for the day, today.
THE ONLY

SHELTER YOU

HAVE
Everyone is looking for Allah Almighty, whether
we know it or not. Everyone is seeking something,
even the atheist. Allah Almighty is the Designer.
He designed our needs, our inclinations, our
affinities, and our inner drives to fit our fitrah
(natural order: Tawheed - to seek and submit to
One God). Everything is designed for us to go
towards Allah Almighty. The job, the wife, the
family, the money, the emptiness we feel inside...
we try to fill our hearts with these things but it is
not the true fill. They are just means for us to
reach Allah Almighty. Even our sins, Shaytan,
nafs - if reacted to correctly - can push us
towards Allah Almighty. Who can help us against
these enemies of ours? Who can protect us from
the storm of our horrendous indecencies?
Who can give us shelter when we are stranded?
You thought the storm, the fear, the mistakes, the
loss was all bad for you, but it was just the means
for you to reach Allah Almighty. The vehicle to
bring you back to Him.
AL-WAKEEL

THE DISPOSER

OF AFFAIRS

Allah is The One Who guides the

believers, protects them from harm,
and guards them. The Disposer of
Affairs for everything in existence.
Knowing that Allah (SWT) is the Best Disposer of
Affairs puts certainty in the hearts of the believers
that everything is in Allah’s control. This
knowledge is heartening since it relieves the
believers of stress over negative events of this
life. So much occurs that is outside the control of
individuals, and stress and depression can ensue
if events are not to their liking. Knowing that
nothing happens except what is according to
Allah’s will, and knowing that Allah is the Best
Disposer of Affairs, consoles the believers and
aids them in accepting Allah’s will for them. The
believers turn to Allah (SWT) with peace and
place their trust in Allah, confident that Allah
knows what is best for them.

Sufficient for us is Allah, and (He is) the

best Disposer of affairs.

Qur'aan 3:173
HOW TO AVOID

MARRYING THE

WRONG SPOUSE

Don’t let your emotions run your decisions.

If you’re deep in your emotions you will not
be able to acknowledge the red flags in
front of you. Don’t make the mistake of
presuming you will deal with it after
marriage or he/she will change.

Parents mean well but they don’t know

everything and at times they are advising
their children incorrectly. Take the
initiative to research and learn how to
marry, about marriage, and the rights of
the husband and the wife. As parents, we
should also educate ourselves on the
characteristics of a husband and a wife so
we can nurture our children to be the best
of spouses.
Set realistic expectations.
You’re not perfect and neither
is your potential spouse.

Don’t lose hope. Do it the Halal way; the

way prescribed in the Qur’an and Sunnah.
Stop with the trends, Tinder / Facebook /
Instagram, and texting... this will cause
more trouble and worry. Do it the way
Allah wants, please Allah, and surely He
will grant you the unimaginable.
GUIDING

THROUGH

LOVE AND TRUST

The earlier a transformation happens, the more

long-lasting and stable it can be. Many individuals
become more observant Muslims in adulthood
and truly change their lives. However, this doesn’t
compare to a person who was observant as a child
in terms of praying and had already ingrained the
concept of modesty of lowering the gaze at the
age of 8. Thus, this individual as a young adult
would not have any problems in lowering their
gaze as he had been doing it most of his life. This
kind of nurturing and upbringing can be done by
building blocks and shaping the child’s character
gradually over time.

One of the blocks we need to build with our

children is trust. As parents and guardians, we
need to create a relationship built on love and
trust.

Thus, before we teach our children about serious

matters such as Jannah, Jahannam, and things
related to orders or prohibitions, we should first
and foremost invest a lot of time building bonds
of love and trust.
Love and trust are the best paths to encourage
good behaviour in children, whereas commands
alone will eventually backfire, For instance, you
can gently pat your child’s head or put your hand
on hers and ask her to pray instead of nagging or
issuing orders.

Remember what the Prophet would say: ‘’Oh,

Mu’adh, I love you, so don’t forget to recite after
every prayer: ‘Oh, Allah, help me in
remembering You, in offering thanks to You and
in worshipping You properly.’’’ (Abu Dawood)

Hesham Al-Awadi, Children Around The Prophet

MARROW

Hadhrat Anas ‫ رﺿﻲ ﷲ ﻋﻨﻪ‬reports that he was

eating with Rasulullaah ‫ ﷺ‬when he noticed
that Rasulullaah ‫ ﷺ‬was searching in the
plate for the pieces of marrow (Dodhi) to eat.
Hadhrat Anas ‫ رﺿﻲ ﷲ ﻋﻨﻪ‬says that it was from
that day on that he began to love eating
marrows. (Bukhaari)

Allaama Ibn Qayyim ‫ رَ ِﺣ َﻤ ُﻪ ٱﻟﻠﱣﻪ‬writes that the

cool and wet nature of marrows make them
beneficial in treating fever and its water
effectively treats Istisqaa (an illness that
causes the patient to suffer extreme thirst).
When the marrow is cooked and the juices
mixed with honey, the resultant mixture
effectively dispels yellow bile and phlegm.
