ORAL TEST

CYNTHIA: Hi guys, yesterday I got an email telling me that I can earn money but I
must make a deposit first. What do you think about this?
JOEL: Really? that sounds weird. You shouldn't be so gullible.
CARLOS: You're right, but what happens if you actually win an award and you lose
this opportunity, which may never happen again. I would like to hear your opinions.
Fer: Earning money by investing in something you don't know sounds too good to be
true, didn't they ask you for something else?
JOEL: That's a good question, who sent you the email? where does it come from?
Cynthia: Well the email is from Prince Jones Dimka, and it has the extension .ng.
CARLOS: Oh no, So forget what I said before, if I remember correctly that is a scam
wich was called the "419 scam", in which a lot of people fell.
Fer: One what?
CARLOS: 419 Scam, a scam in which you receive these types of letters that speak of a
non-existent fortune or money, it is only obtained by money transfers.
Fer: Ah I see, I thought it could also be an attempt to take his identity, that's why my
question.
Cynthia: Well, they asked me to send my personal details and my account number to
record the winnings. I think it could be a good opportunity to generate extra income,
JOEL: Stop, before you move on to your next point of view ...
Cynthia: could you let me finish? and I do not think it is really a scam, on the contrary it
is an investment.
JOEL: Are you kidding me right? In my experience I once received a strange call telling
me that my brother had been assaulted while he was returning from a trip and had to
deposit money so that when he returned then he would immediately call him and that
was a farce. think wisely.
CARLOS: You have a good point of view, JOEL, but I would like to add something and
hear your ideas about this, a strong reason why many times we are gullible and fall into
that kind of traps or tricks is because we are not informed enough.
Fer: It is also a lot of risk, on the one hand you can earn money, but on the other you
can lose money along with part of the control of your life, with that personal data they
could do many more things than you think.
Cynthia: You believe that this is possible, that you can use my data to commit an illegal
act. So I think I should think better of it before submitting my information.
JOEL: Yes and I’d like to say this, that's why I think that each person becomes a victim
themselves for thinking that they can earn money quickly and easily.
CARLOS: However, the government and the police should do something more to
protect us from these types of criminals, that’s why we pay our taxes.
JOEL: All right but don't you think that everyone should take care of themselves and
not wait for someone else to do it?
Fer: It is a good point, however for the most part these scams usually involve a lot of
“money” for everyone it would be tempting.
CARLOS: What you say is very true, what I meant is not that we should not do
anything but those, both the police and the government must do their part by updating
the laws to counteract this type of cyber scam.
Cynthia: Personally, I think that it is very difficult for a person to realize when they are
the victim of a scam, especially if they are cyber scams.
Fer: More than promoting laws, for my part I would say that these issues should be
covered on television, on their web pages, etc, etc. We are in the age of modernization
and those new to this should be alerted or informed.
CARLOS: As I see this, is important to create a law wich verify that first of all the
scammed money is returned to the victims whom the government have to protect since
some scammers prefer to go to jail for a short time rather than return what they stole.
