Tasks
Task 1 Routing and Switching Essentials
Upon signing up to the Diploma of Networking course you will receive and email like the one
below from the Cisco Networking Academy Team that will provide you with your Screen Name and
temporary password together with the URL you have use to register as a Cisco academy student.
1. You will need to go to the following link: www.netacad.com/login and enter your Screen
Name and temporary password that was provide to you via the introductory email.
2. Use Get Started with Cisco Networking Academy.pdf to gain or refresh your
understanding of the interface and how to access the Final Exam that you are required to
take for this assessment.
3. Ensure that you are enrolled in the class for Stage 2 - Switching & Routing, if you cannot
see this class then contact the OTEN IT Helpdesk ensuring that you are enrolled
accordingly.
4. Select the class Stage 2 - Switching & Routing
5. Satisfactorily complete each chapter exams at the end of each chapter. Once you have
completed ALL the chapter exams, take a screenshot of your GRADES page from Cisco
Netacad website and paste it in the space provided below.
6. If your results are less than 80%, repeat those exams until you achieve 80% or more (note
you will need to reschedule the exams).
7. Take a screenshot of your GRADES page from Cisco Netacad website and paste it in the
space provided below and a teacher will check your results online in the Cisco Network
Academy website for these exams.

You must achieve 80% or more in each of these exams to gain a satisfactory in this task.
