A talent agent, or booking agent, is a person who finds jobs for actors,
authors, broadcast journalists, film directors, musicians, models,
professional athletes, screenwriters, writers, and other professionals in
various entertainment or broadcast businesses.
Acting agents spend most of their time arranging auditions and client
bookings, they sort out travel arrangements and also handle any fan mail
or media requests on the client’s behalf. You can also have a side job
while having an agency, eg- modelling, retail, singing.
Sue Latimer is a talent agent. She started her career as an agent with the
William Morris Agency. Promoted to Head of Talent in Europe, Suewas
responsible for the agency's domestic and international roster of clients.
She is part of the largest independent creative company.
Confidence is something agencies look for, their client should have good
communication skills. Having a good passion for your job is also very
important, not for money. As an actor I have good communication skills,
I’m good with working with a crew.
