Therapeutic communication is communication between nurses and clients where
nurses can get information that is useful for healing clients. Research on the implementation of therapeutic communication conducted has different results. This is because the instrument does not contain all the steps and characteristics of therapeutic communication. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the implementation of therapeutic communication nurses in the inpatient room of Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital. The type of research applied is quantitative non-experimental with a descriptive survey research design. the sample criteria of this study were nurses in the adult inpatient room. The sampling technique of this study was total sampling totaling 99 respondents. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The place of research is the Islamic Hospital of Sultan Agung Semarang. The results of the implementation of therapeutic communication by nurses in the inpatient room were 75.75% or 75 out of 99 respondents in the good category, 24.25% or 24 of the 99 respondents in the less than good category. The implementation of therapeutic communication of nurses in the inpatient room of Sultan Agung Islamic Hospital was 75.75% good, but still needed to be improved. Therapeutic communication can be improved by training and workshops
