Elevator Speech
My name is Matthew Strand, and I am a Junior at
Alpharetta High School. What my interest at that school
is biochemistry. It is a branch of science were the
chemical processes and substances that occur within
living organisms. What inspired me was my aunt, who is
biophysicist in Germany working with people against the
coronavirus in her area. Another thing that inspired me
was a book called Behave: biology of human, and I read
that three years ago, and ever since then I have been
going to classes, buying books. I am working my butt
off to learn the biochemical processes that give rise
to the complexity of life itself. My dream job is to
become a biomedical scientist and try to improve human
health in the U.S and find to ways to cure and treat
diseases.
