General guidelines on Student Access Passes

When redeeming Azure Passes, there are certain guidelines and restrictions that must be followed.

• One MSA (Microsoft Account) can only have a single Azure Pass subscription at one time (1
registration active at one time).
• Single MSA can be used for multiple Azure Passes as long as they do not have any active
subscriptions in place (see first condition).
• Azure Passes cannot be redeemed on accounts that are linked to an Enterprise Agreement (EA)
subscription.
• Azure passes cannot be used on accounts where any subscription to any 3rd party service has
been setup – the credits cannot be used for 3rd party payments.

If there is an existing subscription associated with an MSA, we recommend creating another MSA to
activate the Azure Pass. This will prevent any issues that may exist with a previous subscription that
has not completely expired.

For Azure Pass support issues, users should submit support tickets via
https://portal.azure.com/#home.
